After doing a little research on Henry Holland, creator of House of Holland, I quickly begin to realize why I was drawn over and over to his women’s collections. With a colorful, fun, witty, and quirky British sense of humor and loads of charm, I felt like I was reading about myself. I am not British, but I am just sayin’…..If I didn’t know any better, he could be my offspring.

At the end of every season, I am already on the hunt for the next seasons first roll outs and as you know color is a big part of who I am, not only in apparel, but also in personality. I have consistently found myself clicking on the House of Holland designs on Matchesfashion.com, shopbop.comnetaporter.com. Some of the styles can be a little too young for me, but there are many styles that any age woman can wear.

This year I decided to buy my first piece which is the jacquard stripped top that I am wearing. I liked it because of it’s versatility. It is very boxy, but that is a big trend moving forward into spring and into next fall. I styled it here with a cut out faux leather skirt, but I really see myself wearing it with my favorite boyfriend jeans. He also designed a companion skirt that would be so very fun as well. With all of the colors, I have so many choices, especially in accessorizing. Oh my, am I going to have fun with this top.  It also comes in an adorable dress as worn by my awesome adopted daughter (wishful thinking) @carriec on www.wearwherewell.com. She too is a big fan and lover of color!!

This 32 year old young man didn’t set out to be a designer, he started out after college as a stylist and editor. He hung out with really cool crowd (a lot of girls) that later became famous. Does Alexa Chung, Poppy Delevingne,  or Daisy Lowe ring a bell? He knew quickly what to design because these girls were always telling him what they liked and wanted.

He first got noticed with his quirky graphic T Shirts. They were quickly picked up by major retailers, then he started the journey of creating his brand. Just a designer then was not ever his idea of success, but he wanted to be a lifestyle brand as in Tommy Bahama or Ralph Lauren. After designing T Shirts, Handbags, Menswear, fragrance, and etc, I am pretty sure there is no stopping him. Read more about his journey and where he is going from this article from Vogue.com.

P.S. I want to meet him so I can see his hair. A style he has worn since he was 15. His self proclaimed ‘Armor’!!
