The Genesis of SheShe Show And New Beginnings

Hello my friends! How are you today? I have had so many of you asking me how I got into blogging……especially being over 60 years old. Well, today I will share with you the Genesis of SheShe Show and the new beginnings in sight.

First of all, I hope you appreciate the work that went into producing my new YouTube intro and promo piece. We always want to entertain and inform. Please click the center arrow to view.

Coming up 3 years ago I was feeling very inadequate in the world of social media. Can anyone relate? I did not even know what a hashtag was. Can anyone relate? It was over the Christmas holidays and the whole family was together and that is when I cornered Carson. (one of my college age grandchildren) I asked him many questions about social media and finally he looked at me and said “SheShe you should do a YouTube show. I had sold my boutique a couple of years before so I was really ready for a new venture. I said “What does that look like?” He proceeded to show me some younger girls that were having huge success and I was stunned because I thought it looked very hokey. I then said ” I can do that and I can do it better!!” In my 20’s I had some television experience doing some commercials and such, so voice on camera was not scary to me. Would you believe that the next day we shot the intro to my show and I started doing videos? They are still on my YouTube channel ‘SheSheShow’. I recently looked at them and they weren’t all that bad. I am looking forward to upping my game so stay tuned.

A few months later I had lunch with a friend in Austin and she told me that I should be on Instagram and start a blog. Well, I wasn’t sure what a blog was and knew nothing about Instagram. Now over 2 years later I have SheShe Show on just about every social media there is. I am even on Snapchat now and love it. I have only missed 2 days posting on Instagram since I started and the reason that happened is because I dropped my phone in a toilette while visiting Paris, France and could not post because I had no service.

Over the last few months I attended a blogger conference and I also met a couple of Vloggers . (Vlogger-They have a blog and they do YouTube.) What I realized is that if I wanted to grow my readership faster then I needed to do everything available to direct people to my website.

I knew what to do next. I made a call to guess who???? Yes, it was Carson and he said “Let’s do it” That was about 4 months ago. I am happy to say that we finally finished our new promo piece and intro to YouTube/Shesheshow re-launching YouTube.com/shesheshow. I guess I will be a Vlogger now!

Now you know the genesis of SheShe Show. We hope you like how we are moving forward! I can’t wait to start chatting with you.
