My obsession with the novelty, whimsical, colorful, wild, quirky, clutches has become just that…..I am an obsessive compulsive maniac about the cool clutch handbag!!!!! It is true, I am crazy for clutches! I am a handbag crazy woman as it is, but I think I need Clutch bag anonymous ASAP!! So my purpose is to get some pity on me by getting you obsessed as well.
MY DEFENSE:
**A clutch bag fits well into a tote bag, so you don’t have to carry a large heavy bag into a restaurant, grocery store, charity event, etc. All you really need is your ID, credit card, lipstick, and telephone.
** I will be the most stylish while receiving compliments and my bag will be a great conversation piece. Hmmm…..have I convinced you yet?
CLUTCH TRENDS: First of all a clutch is defined as a smaller handbag without handles. Some come with handles that can be removed. They are made of all kinds of materials. They can be leather, metal, plastic, acrylic and so on and so on. They can be classic, glitzy, arty, comical, trendy, or you name it. This past year, the clutch took on a larger scale, but this summer the new shape is the fold over. It is just enough difference to make you go buy the newest trend. Not to say the original square or rectangle is not in vogue, but to know that there is a NEW shape available. For serveral years a few designers have been designing the cutest whimsical bags, quirky, graphic bags that actually become collectibles.
THAT’S IT…..My defense is that I COLLECT whimsical quirky bags.
