Have you tried mixing different shades of white in your outfits or even in your home decor? If you haven’t figured it out yet, most fashion rules from days gone by have been broken. I would have never mixed white white with a creamy white in years past, but now I have gotten used to it and find it to be very refreshing.

I will say though that it will not work if you have on all cream and you add on one item in white into the mix. Make sure you repeat both cream and white at least once with smaller items, like you would any other color combination.. Example: If the whole outfit including the bag is cream and you wear it with white white pumps, then it appears that it was just a white mismatch. Think about a white shirt, pumps, scarf or belt to go with the cream pants and jacket to pull the shades together. I hope that makes sense.

A good guideline would be that you can combine cream and white, but there is a point that could end up looking like you tried to coordinate the whites but failed, so don’t go overboard!

I coordinated my look by wearing white jeans and a white t-shirt with an off white long vest and off white sneakers. I added the neutral Elaine Turner Sorrel Cork tote that neutralized the entire look

While we are talking white jeans I would like to give you a couple of pointers when shopping for a new pair.                                        1. Be sure to try them on if you can. If not then put your hand inside the pant to test for appropriate thickness. Many times the weight of the denim will be too see through. Nothing worse than a panty line and especially if the panties are not nude.

2.  Also, check the front pockets. If the denim is too light the pockets will show through on your thigh making a not very nice look.

3. I also like some stretch in my jeans. It keeps them from bagging out in the knees and the seat.

White jeans can be tough to find the right pair, but when you do the look is so nice and fresh whether you wear shades of white or some other color in a top, jacket or sweater. I love white jeans year round. They look really great with sweaters and jackets in the winter months…..another broken rule. Check out some of the white jeans that I like.
