Designer I Am Crushing On // Kobi Halperin

One of the fun things I love to do on occasion is share with you my latest designer crush. So today, we are pleased to introduce to you Kobi Halperin.

I discovered this brand one day recently while I was at a meeting at Neiman Marcus. The rep happened to be in the store and she delighted in telling me all about this beautiful line of clothing. I kind of cringed at the price tag at first, but after I took a closer look at the collection and learning about the unique work that goes into the fabrics and designs, then I was sold.

I bought the floral embroidered skirt and the bell sleeve zip jacket because I felt that I could re-style the 2 pieces and wear in several different ways making it very versatile. I knew I had several events coming up that this outfit would be the perfect choice.

Ways to recreate the look

• The jacket could be worn with a white t-shirt and jeans, or over black trousers or a black skirt, as well as wear over a sleeveless sheath dress.
• The skirt would be so cute worn with a low heel slide or a high block heel. I think a wedge sandal and off the shoulder white top would definitely scale the look down for a more casual outing.

Kobi was an engineering grad from Israel ended up in New York City. Working with Elie Tahari and Kenneth Cole in executive positions gave him enough experience to launch his own brand of ready-t0- wear in 2015. What drew me into the brand was his modern femininity using the most beautifully crafted artisan details in his fabrications with amazing hand-worked embellishments. . With European sensibility the label’s goal is to elevate the everyday.  This label offers an upscale look with all of the craftsmanship of couture but yet still accessible. This designer has the unique talent of offering the latest trends but yet keeping his looks timeless. That is what I look for when investing in higher end clothing. With these elements at the core, he continues to build a dynamic global brand.

Not only is Kobi still in the early stages of building this unique brand, he also takes time to give back to his alma mater mentoring design students as well as taking time to be a good father to his 2 children. I think that I really like this guy. I love his brand and I love the way he lives his life.
