I am not sure when I received my first catalog from Soft Surroundings, but I am pretty sure it was in the beginning and that was 1999. I am now excited, about 17 years later, to bring to you my favorite fall items from “timeless & traditional” pieces from Soft Surroundings.
I am particularly in love with this brand because their philosophy is “that by putting yourself first, you can take better care of friends and family and hopefully live a happier, more fulfilling life.” Can you relate to this philosophy? Whatever…..I sure love it and do believe that we all need experiences to refuel our engine, so we can handle whatever lies ahead. It is like having the “arts” in our lives…..it completes our circle of life…..so, taking care of ourselves makes us whole.
It is hard to put a finger on their style, but I will say there is a little boho, shabby chic, ethnicity, vintage, classic & more. I am in love with their velvets, kimonos, suedes, embroideries…the list just keeps going. Being a textiles major in college, their textures get me so excited!! This is one catalog that never gets thrown into my garbage can and I always look forward to what they are offering up each season.

SHESHE’S TIDBITS
- Yeah….we are so excited to have our first taste of fall with 80 degree weather rather than 90 degree weather, so what better time to do a post full of fall colors. For the next week and a half we are at home in Houston where I will be catching up and doing some socializing. There is no place like home and thank God, we have a homtse.
