As many of you know, SheShe Show is based in Houston and a proud advocate of all things H-Town. This weekend, our very own Houston Galleria is celebrating the holiday season by hosting a christmas tree lighting ceremony open to the public. The 29th Annual Ice Spectacular and Official Tree Lighting Event will be taking place on Saturday, November 11th at 6:00 p.m.
While the Christmas tree is being lit, the artist TSoul (semi-finalist from Season 12 of The Voice) will be performing a special tribute to veterans. The event will also feature performances by figure skaters, alongside a special firework display to end the evening. All festivities are free to the public, and will last just under one hour.
Fun facts about the Christmas tree:
- 55-feet tall
- More than 450,000 twinkling lights
- More than 5,500 ornaments in a variety of colors and shapes
- Installation takes more than 24 hours of work by 50 men and women
- Includes more than 1,000 branches that are hand fluffed by individuals starting in September
- The tree will be officially list by Santa Claus on Saturday, November 12th at 6 p.m. at The Galleria
