What makes a look worthy of a second look? Well, sometimes I think the interest is when it is unexpected. Yes, whether we really like it or not, we look twice because it is not the norm or what we have called the norm in the past. If you are a baby boomer then we experience this all of the time. Today, we are mixing it up again with florals and plaids…..the unexpected.
I think our likes and loves evolve over time as we get exposed to our world and when trends shift. What we didn’t like before all of the sudden is something we have to have today!! Right? I just had a conversation with a group of ladies about interior design trends and we all agreed that what we liked 20 years ago is not what we like today. So there ya go. Expect change!
Today we are talking about mixing a masculine and feminine print…..florals and plaids. I love love this look because the florals soften the look of a plaid shirt and vice versa. Even though the floral element elevates the look, I still think that is is a top to wear in a casual way with blue jeans or colored denim.
