James Avery~Jewelry to Love Forever

James Avery, jewelry, gift giving,

This post sponsored by James Avery. I was paid for this post and received the included necklace as compensation.

Have any of you ever heard of James Avery? If you live in Texas there is a really good chance that you have heard of this family-owned company. Many of you probably own a piece of James Avery finely crafted jewelry or you have given a piece to a friend or loved one. Today we want to let you in on some of the best gift giving ideas for just about anyone in your family. This beautiful jewelry crafted in sterling silver, 14k and 18k yellow and white gold for women and men is jewelry to love forever.

Ever since I moved to Houston back in 1981, I have known about James Avery. It has always been known as a high-quality place to purchase a special gift for a loved one or friend.  They offer over 1,100 designs and maintain some 14,000 separate jewelry items in their active product line, each originated by skilled artisans in the Texas Hill Country. Go here for everything James Avery.

IN THE BEGINNING

James Avery started his business in 1954 in a 2 car garage with about $250 investment to get him started. It was his desire to create jewelry that had meaning for him and his customers as well as having lasting value.

In 1957 James featured 39 handmade items in a mailer catalog and he also hired his first employee. Now, 61 years later they have over 50 stores in Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Tenessee, North Carolina, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Alabama, and Texas. The company has five manufacturing plants in and around the Hill Country of Texas and their headquarters is on 20 acres in Kerrville, Texas not too far from that 2 car garage where it all began.

JAMES AVERY DESIGNS

James Avery Jewelry is designed to reflect the things that are important in life. Their designs are timeless, their appeal universal and they offer jewelry for special occasions and for everyday wear. Whether it’s a first communion cross, a wedding band, or a commemorative charm, each piece in their collection is crafted with the same care and attention to detail.

When I got to choose my special piece I wanted something simple but fashionable and yet a piece that had significance in my life. That is why I chose the vintage cross lariat necklace in sterling silver. (see the necklace in photos) Even though some people wear crosses as a fashion statement I choose to wear mine as a symbol of my faith.

IN CONCLUSION.

I love going into James Avery Craftsman’s beautifully decorated stores. Their jewelry is designed to reflect the things that are important in life and I know that you can find the most beautiful and meaningful gifts for that someone special at James Avery.
