Here we are in full spring mode! Wherever you live even if the temps are freezing, winter goods are on major sale and the retailers are in full bloom with the latest spring & summer fashions. So today I am sharing some of the cutest looks to transition you into spring from Palais Royal and on any Stage store.
Depending on where you live is whether you are familiar with Stage stores. In our area we have Palais Royal but you might be more familiar with Bealls, Peebles or Goody’s Department Stores. All of these retailers make up the Stage family that offer fashions for the entire family. They carry a lot of fashion brands and they also have a large selection of beauty and skincare brands and products that focus on value.
Recently I was in need of something new for spring to take with me on a trip to South Florida so I popped into Palais Royal, a Stage store, here in Houston to see what I could find. I came out with 2 outfits, a cute red leather tote bag, red heeled sandals and a pair of Converse sneakers all for under $150. Be sure to scroll down and see how I found a couple of ways to style each outfit.
Outfit #1
I loved this 2 piece gingham outfit by Rafaella. The little embroidered cherries on the shirt first caught my eye and I instantly knew I had several styling options.
- First, I added a pop of color with the red heeled sandals and the red camisole I found in my closet. I then tied up the shirt in front to create a more casual look.
- In the next few photos I untied the shirt and treated it like a shirt jacket.
- You could also button it up the front and tuck it in for a more polished look.
- Remove the heeled sandals and add a white sneaker or a cute wedge sandal that would be great for a picnic.
- Split up the outfit by wearing the shirt over white or black bermuda shorts or jeans and put a crisp white button front shirt with the cropped pants or how about an off the shoulder top? Yes!
I always believe in accessories so I shopped my own closet and added the black hat and red sunnies.

Outfit #2
I fell in love with this jumpsuit when I first laid my eyes on it. I particularly like the straps that helps keep the bodice in place.
- Again I took the same red sandals and red tote bag from the outfit above. They work great with this cute little jumpsuit!
- How about these cute Converse sneakers seen worn with this jumpsuit in the last 2 photos. That would be my style. I replaced the red sunnies for white ones.
- You could also wear a navy or white sandal or pop with any bright color sandal. Yellow most always looks good with navy.
