Double Breasted Blazer | Styled 3 Ways

I love a fabulous blazer! One of my favorite things about them are how versatile they can be! A great blazer is a basic and building block for a strong wardrobe. Every woman needs one so today we are sharing 3 different ways to rock a blazer.

The Double Breasted Blazer

double-breasted garment is a coat, jacket, blazer, or vest with wide, overlapping front flaps which has on its front two symmetrical columns of buttons; by contrast, a single-breasted item has a narrow overlap and only one column of buttons. In most modern double-breasted coats, one column of buttons is decorative, while the other is functional. The other buttons, placed on the outside edge of the coat breast, allow the overlap to fasten reversibly, left lapel over right lapel. To strengthen the fastening, a functional inner-button, called the jigger (or anchor button), is usually added to parallel-fasten the overlapped layers together from the inside.

Veronica Beard Blazers

My blazer is a Veronica Beard, I swear by these blazers for so many reasons! While you make look into these blazers and think to yourself “wow these are pricey for just a blazer”, these aren’t “just a blazer”. Veronica Beard’s line of blazers are for sure investment pieces. I have yet to find a blazer that had a perfect fit straight off the rack, they are staples, these blazers will be in style for decades! When I wear any of my Veronica Beard blazers my confidence is sky high and I feel beautiful! Above in the lookbook are a few of my favorites!

Yachtsman

The yachtsman style is always a classic. Charming, feminine and classy is this “yachtsman” style. Think boating, sailing, brunch on the bay, and anything nautical!

Stripes – Pair with fun stripes!

Boat NeckA boat neck, also called a bateau neck or Sabrina neckline, is a wide neckline that runs horizontally, front and back, almost to the shoulder points, across the collarbone. VERY yachtsman!!

White Jeans White jeans give off that perfect by the bay look! Very clean and classic pairing white jeans with a blazer is one of my favorite looks for when I am up on the island at my beach house!

R, W, & B – Standard colors of red, white, and blue are nautical and beachy! There’s something so sleek about a navy blazer!

Travel Style

I LOVE travelling with a blazer. Here are a few ways I travel wearing a blazer!

T – Shirt – Taking a cute graphic tee and layering with a blazer automatically gives you that edgy/cool look.

Leggings – A blazer with leggings is definitely popular and has been trending for quite some time, I couldn’t be happier. I especially enjoy pairing mine with faux leather leggings.

Jeans – Pair your blazer with any type, style, or color of jeans!

The Hoodie – A grey or white hoodie under your blazer is so cute! If you don’t have a dickie blazer then just wear a hoodie underneath!

Americana

Okay so we all know everyone has a different take on the “Americana” style and our is a little bit of a hodge-podge! It stays very classic with the colors and prints of “Americana” adding a flair of bohemian flavor! Below are a few pieces that we love to add that flavor with our blazers!
