lululemon is all the rage. We recently have been comparing brands and have decided to share with you why we love lululemon and if it truly is worth the price!

OUTFIT DETAILS

The Vision

Founded by Chip Wilson in Vancouver, Canada in 1998, lululemon is a yoga-inspired, technical athletic apparel company for women and men. What started as a design studio by day and a yoga studio by night soon became a standalone store in November of 2000 on West 4th Avenue in Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighborhood.

The vision for their store was to create more than a place where people could get gear to sweat in, they wanted to create a community hub where people could learn and discuss the physical aspects of healthy living, mindfulness, and living a life of possibility. It was also important for lululemon to create real relationships with guests and understand what they were passionate about, how they liked to sweat, and help them celebrate their goals. Today, they do this in their stores around the globe.

Product

The first designs were made for women to wear during yoga. Through plenty of feedback from guests, ambassadors, and elite athletes, they now design for yoga, running, cycling, training, and most other sweaty pursuits for women and men. Not to mention, the designers are athletes and sweat-minded people, too.

lululemon Sizing + Clothing

This is where we want to give you lots of details. When we first received our lululemon we thought we received clothing for a small child. I had size 8 and my assistant, Francesca, a size 2. Normally I am a 6 and she is a 00. Size “8” is closest to a medium. So, looking at my top and pants I felt sure there was no way it would fit. We tried on our lululemon and with a slight struggle, they fit like a charm! So while you may be a certain size around the board we HIGHLY suggest sizing up! The compression is great and is extremely flattering.

Women’s Bras Size Chart

If you are smaller busted then lululemon is made for YOU! I am a 36C or 34D. Also went with the size 8. I do not have any of their bras but I do have the tanks with a built-in bra and for that a size 8 as well. Francesca is a 30A and ordered a 2 for the bra and that was very tight and small. So we suggest that you size up. Do not be alarmed by sizing. Bra sizing goes up to 40D!

Bottoms Size Chart

The bottoms seemed like a joke to us honestly. When you receive yours, you might think it is for a child. Fear not, ours fit. Keep in mind that we did SIZE UP! They tuck the tummy well and give the thighs a nice slim look.

Accessories

We are loving the accessories at lululemon. This poncho is one of my favorites and great to travel with. Speaking of traveling or just being on the go, this water bottle is perfect as I do not like to do plastic.

Do We Recommend lululemon?

Do we recommend it? Yes, although the sizing confused us, we do! We love how thick the material is and flattering. The way the material feels definitely is a luxe fabric, they look good after multiple washings, and we think totally worth the price. Their tops are extremely flattering and feel as if each piece was curated just for yourself.
