Wedding season is finally here! Last year was a tough one for those getting married! We saw lots of cancellations and some even getting married alone. This year, what we thought was never-ending, is coming to an end and now most of us can get out and gather. That means we are resuming weddings and finally we can dress to the nines! Knowing I missed lots of weddings and lots were rescheduled for this year, you can bet I will be going all out with my wedding guest attire. Below I have all of my favorite dresses, shoes, and accessories for this year’s wedding season.
Black Tie
What Is Black-Tie Attire? A black-tie dress code is reserved for formal weddings and events usually scheduled around the 8 pm hour. Guests typically wear floor-length gowns and tuxedos when attending a black-tie wedding.

Full-length gowns are perfect for such occasions whether you’re into a seasonal long-sleeve style, a textured number, or sparkling sequins. If you’re one to follow trends, consider puff sleeves, allover florals, and bold styles in statement-making hues. To keep it classic you can never go wrong with a simple yet chic floor-length black dress. I love this one!

What Is Beach Wedding Attire? “Beach wedding attire is the same as any other wedding where you dress according to the formality of the event, but unlike a normal celebration, there are some small changes to accessories and fabrics that will make you much more comfortable,” says Sweet Peach Planning owner Megan Papageorge. This is my dress and I love it. It’s so beachy and has been trending for years now! Change shoes and accessories and it could be a cocktail look worn to a church wedding.

What Is Cocktail Attire? Cocktail attire is usually worn to semi-formal and formal weddings. Typically, if a wedding dress code calls for cocktail attire, women will a knee-length or midi dress, and men will wear a suit and tie.

We are off to Montrose, Colorado where we will close and move out of our river ranch this week. After selling my business and some commercial properties over the last 10 years, this is our last tie to this area after 27 years. Yes, bittersweet!!! So many great friendships, so many great memories…. feeling a tear coming on.
