Happy Friday Friends!! Today, I am excited to talk about scarves as wearable art.
As you know I love accessories that complete my outfits whether it is jewelry, handbags, hats, or scarves and I have large collections of them all. Recently my Houston based friend, Gardner Landry, owner of La Belle Tache asked me to stop by and see something he was working on. When I arrived at his studio, I saw the beautiful pillows that I recently posted on Instagram and Facebook but he proceeded to talk to me about a new line that he was very excited to show me.
He pulled out this beautiful scarf that would make an Hermes or Pucci scarf look like want a be’s. My mouth hit the floor as he held it up for me to see and I was already thinking of how I would style this beautiful piece of art.
The pattern/image of the scarf is from an original watercolor by native Houstonian Kirby Attwell. His paintings have appeared in juried art hows in Texas and across the U.S. He is a student of Arthur Turner at the Glassell School of Art, where he has studied since 1960. The artist image on the scarf is printed on natural silk charmeuse with cutting edge Italian natural fiber printing technology. The richness of the colors along with the sunburst patterns make it an exquisite piece of art that anyone would love as wearable art or one could even float it under glass and hang it on a wall. Either way this beautiful silk scarf would be a conversation piece.
The plans are that these scarves will be sold in higher end boutiques and stores. If you are interested in wholesale or retail, then please reach out directly to Gardner at gardner@gardnerlandry.com.
You are the first to view this new line of scarves with this amazing technology. A luxurious asset to any boutique or closet!
Location: A goat and chicken farm next to our Eagle Dawn River Ranch with the San Juan mountains in the background. There are so many beautiful old barns and corrals that make for the perfect sunset setting for this photoshoot.

SheShe’s Tidbits:
- For the outdoor enthusiast, I will be posting several outdoor trips over the next couple of weeks. Hiking and rafting.
- We will be preparing to return to Houston next week. Bitter sweet but I will be glad to see old friends and start getting dolled up a bit more again.
