I love my mother…..no, that would be an understatement……I LUUUUVVVV my Mother…. and what better way to tell the world this than through my blog on this Mother’s Day. I am not sure what she is going to say when she sees this, but I think she will love it. I am unable to be with her today, but I can tell you my heart and spirit is with her. I will see her in a few weeks. I can then hug her and get some of that motherly love.
The first picture is a photo taken in the early 1950’s in downtown Maryville, Tennessee before I was born. It looks as though it is an editorial shot taken in some big city. She almost looks like a blogger from that time period. Check out her cute little handbag. I would love to have that bag today. Also, can you see the image of the man on the right? He appears to be checking her out.
The other photo was take a couple of years ago at my nieces wedding. I love that photo. It gives me the warm fuzzies. I have so many fond memories of her while I was growing up, but I think that the one thing that I remember the most is our time shopping together. She is the on who taught me how to power shop. Oh yes, I have to have someone to blame that on…..
As I reflect on all of our mother daughter times together, I realize now how much her influences have made me who I a today. Besides being a major fashionista, I would say that her work ethic was something she displayed for me and my sisters on a daily basis. Oh, I could go on and on, but she has been the biggest inspiration in my life in so many ways. I would say that I am definitely a chip off the ole’ block…..and that is good!!
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL OF THE MOTHER’S IN THE WORLD….GOD BLESS YOU!
Xo, SheShe
P.S. The photos of the flowers are from my back yard. They have been extra beautiful this spring!!
