I salute this man….my father….follower of Christ…. husband ….service man, civilian and so much more on this Memorial Day. He spent most of his adult life serving first in the Army and then in the Air National Guard as a weekend warrior. He spent a year in Germany during the Cuban missile crises in the early 1960’s and he served in both Gulf wars in the early 1990’s. In this picture he had just arrived after being gone for a year. It was his last trip and he soon retired. He would have been 59, about my age today. HE LOVED HIS COUNTRY and made me proud to be an American!!!!!!
There are so many men and women that have sacrificed in some way while serving in the United States armed services whether it be being away from their loved ones for extended times or losing their life to protect our freedoms for all of us.
We live in an amazing country with so many opportunities. I feel very blessed!!! Thank you all who serve and have served to fight and protect the United States of America!!

It is a cold Memorial weekend in Colorado today. We woke up to 38 degrees. For this Houston girl, I was COLD! My fashion inspiration is all about country and freedom. Wherever you live and whatever the temperature, you can display your patriotism. I have chosen some patriotic apparel and merchandise that you might add to your wardrobe. I love to pull out and wear my holiday attire for these very special occasions. Have some fun and step up your style with a great Memorial Day look!!
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!
