The Kimono trend is here! Trends, Trends, and more trends in this blog…..can you name them?? The caged sandal, the jumpsuit, statement earrings, mini tote, large watch, large round sunglasses, but my new favorite is the Kimono trend. I just love the Kimono jacket. Obviously Asian inspired here due to what?…………the fabric of course. The really cool thing though is the Kimono can be worn without screaming Asian!!! With a little help the Kimono can also take on a bohemian look, which I love…… being a 70’s throw back girl!! The bohemian Kimono will many times have fringe around the large armholes, down the front and the bottom edge. The fabrics are usually silky and flowing and many times have floral prints. Just layer it over some flared high waisted jeans and voila…..flower child. The younger set have never done this look, so they are loving the free spirited feel. This fringe effect can also give the look a little southwest flavor. Just layer your fringy Kimono over some skinny jeans and cowboy boots and now you have Pocahontas. Anyway, the Kimono would be a great addition to your wardrobe this summer. Have fun changing it up as your moods change. Who knows, it might could become a beautiful elegant piece in your lingerie drawer…..
