Colorado Festival time.
SheShe is back in Colorado getting her festival style on! We are putting on the final touches of our new place on the Uncompahgre River and enjoying the local summer festivities. One of my favorite weekend activities is the Ridgway CO arts and crafts festival held there every year since 1984. I recently attended the jurried festival on August 8th & 9th. I enjoyed shopping unique artisans and crafters and sampling good food and drink. It was also a beautiful day hanging out with my Montrose/Ridgway friends. Ridgway is located at the junction of Highways 550 and 62, in Southwest Colorado, Gateway to the beautiful San Juan Mountains. Montrose, Ouray and Telluride are just a few miles from Ridgway.
I loved trying on hats in the hat custom hat booth. My mood changed with very shape and size of the hat that I tried on!!! I also liked the handmade leather and fabric bags as well as of course the cool jewelry. But, my favorite booth of all was Sweetbird Studio, that in fact took the BEST BOOTH BLUE RIBBON AWARD!! I actually have known the designer Nancy for a few years. I carried her pieces in SheShe Boutique and Gallery when I was the owner/operator. She designs beautiful and unique sterling silver jewelry belt buckles, handbags, dog collars, charms and more. Please check her out at www.sweetbirdstudio.com.
