My Day 2 Outfit at New York Fashion Week was full of suede, crop pants, ruffles & shoulders. Planning for my wardrobe for this trip was really hard because it was my first time and I really didn’t know what to expect. The weather was forecasted to be very warm, but I wanted to show fall looks. I don’t buy heavy fabrics since I live in a tropical climate most of the year. That being said, I found this very cute, trending off the shoulder suede top that gave me a fall feeling, but didn’t burn me up in the warmer temps. Perfect for a fall look without looking ridiculous in 80 + degrees!!
As I showed up a little late to a big show in this outfit, I was in my own space without the competition with all of the 20 something bloggers and the photographers swarmed me. In my dreams…..of course I was working it like I was 25 again. I was laughing like I know you are right now…..but, I will say I just found out that I was actually published in a Dutch publication and on a photographers website. You just never know in this world we live in!!
The big trends here are the cropped pants. They are perfect year round…..sandals, sneakers, pumps, booties and coming soon in your city…..boots. They are so versatile!! The other trend is the off the shoulder still going forward for fall, but now with a different fabrication. You will see a lot of suede this fall as well as faux leathers, real leathers, faux fur and real fur. Basically, you will see so many textures in clothing choices for fall/winter.
My favorite season for fashions is the fall. It is just unfortunate that between being post menopausal (meaning that I have my own built in heater ) and living in a warm climate, I am not smart to buy heavy wools and sweaters and furs…..makes me so sad!!! With that said, there are so many options to achieving that beautiful fall look. I can’t wait to show you more!!
