A magical place this time of year.
Hello everyone, and Merry Christmas from the Frede’s. I love this time of year!! Norman and I are at home in Houston for Christmas this year! Over the last 35 years I have alternated holidays for my visit with my family in East Tennessee. This year we were in Maryville for Thanksgiving. It was such a great time for Norman and I to do our Christmas card photos. I hope you enjoy these gorgeous pictures.
My sister, Ginger and her husband Mike own and operate a wholesales plant farm Pope’s Plant Farms, that was started by Mike’s father back in 1972. They grow a large variety of plants that include poinsettias, fall mums, pansies, spring annuals, and succulents. This business has grown from 1 greenhouse to over 16 acres of modern greenhouse productions and 30 acres of outdoor growing space. They also now have several retail stores around the Knoxville/Maryville area that the locals love to visit to pick up Christmas Trees, flowering plants, fresh produce and more. Such a fun place to visit.
The poinsettias start shipping out the day after Thanksgiving so I planned this photoshoot the day before Thanksgiving. Just in the nick of time. When we walked into this greenhouse, we were both in awe and overcome by the unbelievable beautiful place. The photos can’t describe the quietness, fragrance, color and so much more that our senses were taking in. There were acres and acres of poinsettias in all varieties from red, white, red & white and pink. I couldn’t possibly choose a favorite color.
During the photoshoot, Norman took his glasses off and put them in his pocket and hence they fell out somewhere. Well, try to find a pair of glasses amongst all of these flowers. Someone will buy a poinsettia and get an added bonus. HaHa…..we never found them!
Anyway, Norman and I hope that your Christmas Season is magical. For us we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and without that celebration the rest would not have much meaning. We do find that the tradition of spending time with family and friends is the gift that comes with the celebration.
So, from Norman and I, our family and of course, SheSheShow, we wish you all the very Merriest Christmas of all!! God Bless Youl!!! Xo, SheShe
