Island style or southwest style? Hmmm….Could be either.
I love to invest in clothing that I can wear more than one way. When I first picked out this top, I felt for sure that I would style it as a resort islandy look, but I wanted to try something a little different, especially since I was spending a lot of time in Colorado this summer. We have mountains, not palm trees, so I let me creative juices go and discovered that the colors in the top actually were part of the southwest color pallet.
I love an eclectic look in home furnishings as well as in fashion, so adding a squash blossom necklace and brown suede bootie sandals took it from an island resort look to southwest style without too much indian influence. Add hat and a light weight scarf giving it a total eclectic look that could take you to the beach or to a Colorado river.
This top is from Cabana Life, a sun protection clothing company that I recently did a blog post about. They have developed comfortable clothing with a high UV protection that is actually really really cute. For a great read on Cabana Life, skin cancer awareness and prevention, head on over to www.shesheshow.com/sunprotectionwithcabanalife.
This top could be worn fly fishing on the river, paddle boarding on the bay or as an adorable date night look.
SHESHE’S TIDBITS:
By the time you read this Norman and I will be on day 2 of a Gunnison River guided fly fishing trip. I will be posting our adventure on Snapchat as the internet service works.
I will probably not have a post on Monday as I have family arriving Saturday. Sometimes life just gets in the way of blogging. Not all bad. Sometimes I just need a break!
Next week Norman and I will be taking our daughter and 2 grandsons ages 19 and 21 on a 2 day high mountain 4 wheel drive trip out of Lake City, Colorado. Again, Snapchat will be hosting the adventures of SheShe Show!! Snapchat is easy to use and so much fun. I do hope you will follow along.
Also, Instagram now has Instagram Stories. It is the same concept as Snapchat. I am using both, but the jury is still out on which platform I will ultimately use.
