As you can see in my photos, this SheShe girl loves the great outdoors and hates wonderful opportunities to be spoiled by physical interruptions.
I will have to be honest, I have never used the Carefree® products until the last couple of weeks and frankly this whole subject matter wasn’t my idea of the dream campaign, but I am a Walgreens junkie and I wanted an opportunity to work with them. I was really glad that Carefree® approached their reach to consumers by encouraging us to #SpeakFreeWithCarefree. This is what sold me!! It is just amazing to me that all women on the planet all have the same physical issues and somehow we still have struggles in talking about them. I will say that over the years I have become much more open when it comes to sharing my feelings about these subjects matters, but I still cringe just a little.
After I was asked to be a part of this campaign and I reluctantly committed, I decided to do my research. Timing was perfect because I was getting ready to do several outdoor trips in Colorado where bathrooms are not easily accessible. In other words roughing it or peeing in the woods with no toilette paper. Voila enter Carefree® Liners. They saved the day taking care of the drip protecting my clothing throughout the day as I needed to relieve myself. The guys have it so much easier!
Also, it got very hot by mid-day and the liners were great to absorb any perspiration, preventing any embarrassing wet areas and/or odors. I wear thong panties most of the time, so I was thrilled that I didn’t have to cut the pads to fit like in the old days. The Carefree® “Thong” Pantiliners with wings were perfect. I was also delighted at how thin, light and soft they were. If you are not a fan of the Thong, then try the Carefree® Acti-Fresh Pantiliners, Unscented Regular to Go. When I was younger and still having a menstrual cycles, the pads available were so bulky and uncomfortable.
At 61 years old and going through many mostly normal changes in my body, I have gotten more open about sharing information and I cannot wait to make sure that my 19-year old niece and granddaughter know about Carefree® liners.
Speaking freely about my menstrual cycle, I haven’t had one since my partial hysterectomy over 12 years ago, my periods had gotten so heavy that by my 40’s I would count the days and never plan any kind of out door activity during that time. Not a fun existence for someone who is so active!!! Can any of you relate??? Even though I don’t need the Carefree® Pantiliners for that any more, I bought the Carefree® Original Pantiliners, unscented for my house because I have frequent guests and family that might need some extra protection during their visit.
So far my bladder is holding up, but so many of my friends in their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s are having issues with a leaky bladder due to having children or just part of a normal aging process!! It is great to know that I have a reliable resource to lean on when this time arrives for me.
