Do any of you shop J Crew? Well J Crew is my style this fall and every season for the last few years.
After I sold my boutique back in 2011, I was excited to start shopping other stores again and the first one that I rediscovered was J Crew. What I love about this brand is that it is relatively affordable and very well made, but what really lured me in was their basics as well as pops of highly styled pieces that many times are filled with lots of color!!! Yes I said color.
Today I am wearing a very hot pink suit. When I saw it pop up on their website I immediately ordered it. This pink totally stoled my heart and not only that, they named it the flamingo pink. Now this might be too much pink for you and maybe you would never wear this color at all. I actually just wore this outfit to a baby shower where the mommy to be was expecting a girl. Instead of sneakers I wore a blue suede pump and I go so many compliments. I would call this outfit classic but not boring!!!
I am going to share some ways to wear the pieces together or separated out worn as an item piece that just might change your mind about wearing this vibrant color. I did a post a few weeks ago where I wore the blazer with some very cool jeans. Go to www.shesheshow.com to see the other looks. You could also take the pink trousers by themselves and add a cute sweater and here or wear them with a leather moto jacket with a lace top or sequin top underneath. Think about mixing textures. It makes a more interesting look.
How do you like this blue ruffle top with this pants outfit? I will say that I didn’t create this look. I copied it exactly how it was photographed in the monthly catalog that I get from J Crew. I have learned how to mix patterns and add off season items into fall looks by studying their look books. Being a girl from many decades past, some of these new ways of styling have been hard to over come, but I will say once I started implementing some of their styles…… then I was loving it.
I did decide to wear a pair of platform sneakers but you could also wear a pair of black booties or classic black pumps. I wouldn’t even be afraid to do a suede cobalt blue shoe and here. So many options.
What many ladies don’t know is that J Crew jewelry has some of the best around. They are always on my radar for having the coolest earrings, necklaces and bracelets.

If you are not sure enough to step out in such bright colors then I know you will find something that you can be confident in because most of this brand is so very classic. All of these things that I have shared is why J Crew is my style.
