Twas the night before Christmas…. and I hope you all are doing last minutes shopping, wrapping, cooking, traveling and etc preparing for your Christmas traditions. Norman and I are home alone this year (that could be dangerous) We were in Tennessee for Thanksgiving so that means Houston for Christmas. Our daughters are with their respective families out of town this year and with our house torn up for remodeling and not one Christmas decoration out, it is no less than a unusual, non traditional Christmas for us. It is ok, because Norman and I, with Miss Pippa, have each other and we couldn’t be more blessed. We will be hanging out, trying to finish putting our kitchen back together and catching up on much needed rest before we head to our place in Montrose, Colorado next week. Our Christmas wish for you is that you are with someone special. Even if you are unable to be with family or celebrate your normal traditions, it is not the end of the world. Be grateful and thankful that you are alive and hopefully well. There are other lights flickering in our lives, just take a moment to look for them and anticipate and expect a promising new year.
One thing for sure is that nothing ever stays the same!!
‘Twas the night before Christmas while nodding off at my desk,
I quickly realized, I needed some rest.
My blogs all done, with fashion and more,
decorations, events and gift guides galore.
As a conscientious old blogger, I go the extra mile,
Trying to make sales, so I can rank with the prestigious RewardStyle.
They say I am not too old, my experience much to respect,
but the youth won’t bother to look and my age group won’t connect.
Then one day my phone began lighting up with a lot of chatter,
I couldn’t wait to see what was the matter.
I touched in my code with a few little taps,
searching for the box, the Instagram app.
When what did I see on my SheSheShow site,
but thousands of new followers making comments & likes.
Oh @rachparcell! Go @sincerelyjules!
Yes! @manrepeller!
Wow @happilygrey & @songofstyle too?
My face got flushed and a smile from ear to ear,
I never would have believed this in a million years.
Now, I just woke up at my desk after a short little dream,
I thought it all true, it really did seem.
Oh well, as frustrating as this is,
I sill love what I do,
and at some point you will discover me,
& follow me too!
Merry Christmas!
Xo, SheShe
