Valentines Day is almost here, so today I have curated a Valentines Day Gift Guide with some fun, lux, happy, loving assortment of gift ideas or inspo for your wish list.
I love this time of year where we are ending out one season and and looking forward to a new one. It is also a time of new beginnings and Love in the air with the arrival of Valentine’s Day. We make Valentines Day what we want it to be and sometimes it can bring great happiness or sadness. It all depends on how we interpret this holiday.
Valentine’s was a story about Saint Valentines, referring love between a man and a woman. Now, for me this holiday has evolved into so much more. Refer to this post from a couple of years ago for a little info about the history of Valentines Day.
I remember when I was in my late teens and early 20’s when I hated Valentine’s Day if I didn’t have a boyfriend. I can’t ever remember celebrating this holiday like I had it conjured up in my mind. Too many expectations for sure. Can anyone relate? I had always dreamed of flowers, candy, candle light dinner and jewelry for Valentines Day. Finally, after marrying and maturing somewhat, I realized that celebrating Valentine’s Day is so much more than just for the man and woman. I celebrate Valentine’s Day by letting my favorite loved ones how much I love them. A phone call, card, lunch, dinner, small gift and etc are all ways to show someone how much I appreciate them.
I hope that you don’t forget about your favorite people this Valentines Day, and of course don’t forget your sweet pets that bring us so much love.
