Do you remember the first time you ever saw a camo print? I don’t remember the first time, but I do remember that my dad was a weekend warrior with the Tennessee Air National Guard and over many years of part time service he had a few issued uniform items in a camo print. I was able to keep a few of these treasures for myself. Well, today we all talking how to style the camo trend into our current fall 2017 looks.
I am not sure why most of us love camo, but just maybe it is because camo symbols our service men and women and their fight to keep our country free, or it could be to represent our love for the great outdoors. What ever it is, it finds it’s way into mainstream fashion about every other year it seems. I have collected several camo prints over the years that just keep on going.
Ways to Style Camo Prints
- Find an army green utility jacket or shirt jacket like this Kuhl Rekon jacket in the photo. Kuhl is a recreational clothing brand and I wore this jacket last summer on my trip to Tanzania. It has proven to be a great investment piece that I can wear as a fashion statement or as a recreational utility jacket.
- Add a cool sneaker, sandal, bootie, boot or even a stiletto with camo pants.
- I think that it is really cool to add a pop of a bright color……like this fuschia sweatshirt or this bright yellow.cardigan or how about a metallic knit top? Ok you guys, my mind is on a roll right now, but I like it!!
- Mix textures such as lace, velvet, suede and how about tulle like the skirt in the photos below? Somehow it works. Now, you might not wear it, but I think that you get it. Once you start exploring options and seeing it more, then these looks will get easier for you.

SHESHE’S TIDBITS
- For many many years Sept thru the end of the year are so very social for me. I belong to several charitable organizations as well as a couple of girlfriend lunch groups.
