All ya need is Love….All ya need is love, love…..Beetle Mania….Yes???? Welcome to today’s throwback 70’s Boho Style! I have loved the bohemian look before and maybe this is why I am so drawn to this look now???? I am like a chameleon, I can be trendy, classic and romantic in my fashion choices, I just love living my life through fashion. My first car was a Volkswagon Beetle. I learned to drive on a hill…..Maryville, Tennessee. If you haven’t figured it out yet….I LOVE COLOR!!! It really is hard to get me into black. If I ever lived in New York or in the northeast, they just would not know what to do with my style. I think wearing all black all of the time can be beautiful and of course very classic, but sooooo boring!!!!!
I had a lot of fringe in high school, I wore boots, maxi dresses, midi skirts, midriffs, shoulder bags, tooled leather, vests, flared pants, (bell bottoms) shearling, embroidery, floppy hats and so much more. At 60, this return just seems so natural. I will say I don’t do super minis, puffed sleeves, babydoll or midriffs, but just about every other trend. Many of my age group would never do this trend again, but now with a more modern twist makes it newer and gives a fresh approach to that old 70’s look.
This fall there is a huge movement to wearing florals, white, stripes, bright pops of color as well as the traditional colors of fall….gold, brown, orange, and berry. With that being said, just about anything goes!! All you have to do is add a different element to create a new fall look with those traditional looks. Get your creative juices flowing by taking a summer transitional dress or skirt and layer up with different shoes and accessories to get a fresh fall look. It will totally expand your wardrobe!!!
