Outfit # 1 Being in New York City last week for Spring/Summer 2016 fashion week put the biggest spring into my step…..at least for a few days. By the end of the week, my feet were dying. But on this day I wanted to be a New York girl. So, what does that mean???? To me it is a little funky, a little artsy, a lot of trendy, a lot of classic, and of course a lot of leather, tulle, & mixed prints… and a even more of the unexpected. In other words….anything goes in New York.
A lot of girls wore a lot of bright colors and I loved it, but I wanted to be transitioning into Fall. It was still very hot so I had to choose lighter fabrics. As you know I love tulle. I think this is the third tulle skirt I own. It gives off a feminine vibe, but with the black tulle over the leopard skirt it gives off an edginess. To add some more vibe to the recipe, add a mix of prints with the addition of the python t-shirt, then add a pinch of leather with a leather vest and fringe suede booties, and a dash of a hat equals a New York girl.
Oh, don’t forget the designer bag. The photographers love the designer bags. There are some websites now that you can rent a designer bag and keep it if you like it or change it up for another bag. It is a really cool program. I will report on that later.
After the shows several Houston Bloggers were invited to an evening on The Hornblower yacht with like bloggers from around the world. Our hosts were Gigi New York (leather bags ), High Fashion Home, and Yosi Samra ( shoes ). We took a cruise around Stanton Island where we got up close and personal with many great new friends and best of all the Statue of Liberty. Very fitting since it was the eve of 911. Very emotional.
