Manufacturers today are getting smarter using the advanced technology that is now available to them to make fabrics look like leather. If not using real leather the cost of a garment comes down considerably. I will say though, that high end designers are using these new innovative techniques more and more to create the leather look. It is so much easier and cost effective to take care of faux leather or a faux look than taking care of real leather. Leather or faux leather is now a year around look.
