Who’s ready for the Superbowl? I know I am! I have everything ready Including some games to enjoy at my small gathering. Today I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite easy and quick recipes! I tend to be a last-minute girl and if you are too, make that last-minute grocery trip and get what you need and get in that kitchen for a few minutes!
5-Minute Million Dollar Dip
5 Million Dollar Dip is only 5 ingredients and they don’t call it million dollar dip for nothing! It is so deliciously addicting and will be the biggest hit wherever it goes!
Ingredients
- 5 green onions chopped
- 8 oz cheddar cheese shredded
- 1½ cups mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup real bacon bits
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
Instructions
- Add green onions, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, bacon bits, and slivered almonds to a small bowl. Mix until combined and chill for at least 2 hours. Serve with your favorite crackers.
The main course does not have to take away time from the game! Nothing worse than missing some action during the Superbowl because you have to check your grill!
Crock-Pot Wings
These wings are easy and TASTY! Plus, you don’t have to stand over the grill in the cold! Make buffalo wings the easy way, by cooking them in the slow cooker! Made stress-free and loaded with mouthwatering finger-licking flavors!
Ingredients
SPICE RUB:
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tsp onion powder or dried minced onion
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp dried parsley
HONEY BUFFALO SAUCE:
- 3/4 cup hot sauce (Frank’s Original is what I always use)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 Tbsp melted butter
- 1 Tbsp molasses (optional but recommended)
WINGS:
- 4 lbs fresh chicken wings, patted dry
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, add rub ingredients and stir to combine thoroughly. Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray and add chicken wings. Sprinkle rub over the top and use hands to massage the rub into all the chicken wings. I like to use nitrile gloves for this – easy clean up!
- In the empty rub mixing bowl, add sauce ingredients and whisk to combine well. Pour over spiced wings and toss gently to coat.
- Cover slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 2 hours, or on LOW for 3-4 hours.
FOR STICKY GLAZE:
- Cook slow cooker recipe as directed above. Line a baking sheet with 2 sheets of aluminum foil, then place an oven safe wire cooling rack on top. Place cooked wings on cooling rack, then pour sauce from the slow cooker into a saucepan. Add 2 Tbsp cornstarch and 2 Tbsp of water to a small bowl and whisk to combine well, then pour into sauce and whisk. Cook over MED-HIGH heat until boiling, then reduce heat to MED-LOW and whisk as it cooks. Cook about 5 minutes, or until thickened to desired consistency.
- Brush wings with thickened sauce, then broil on HIGH for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce caramelizes a little. Brush with more glaze and broil another 2 minutes. Repeat this one more time and you should have perfectly sticky wings!
Notes
Frozen wings can also be used, but the sauce in the slow cooker after cooking will be more watery, as most frozen chicken wings are ice glazed (each wing has a thin glaze of ice over it, so they don’t stick together as much in the bag). For best results, thaw frozen wings before cooking. If cooking from frozen, cook time is 3 hours on HIGH and 4-6 hours on LOW.

Superbowl Puppy Chow
Equipment
- Football Picks
- Wilton Dark Green Candy Melts
- Squeeze Bottles
Ingredients
Green Puppy Chow
- 4 cups chex cereal
- 1 cup green candy melts like Wilton brand
- ½ tbsp vegetable oil
- ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
Brown Puppy Chow
- 4 cups chex cereal
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ tbsp vegetable oil
- ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
Add ins
- Football almonds – whole almonds and small batch of royal icing: 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/2 tsp meringue powder, 1/2 tbsp water
- White green or brown m&ms
Instructions
To make the royal icing
- Combine the powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water in a mixing bowl and mix with an electric mixer until the icing has a matte appearance, about 2 minutes. You may need to add a little more water to get the right consistency. You don’t want the icing to be runny, but have a thicker consistency, but you don’t want it to be too thick where you can’t get it out of the squeeze bottle. Transfer the icing to a squeeze bottle or ziploc bag with one corner cut off.
- On each almond draw the center football stripe.
- Allow the royal icing to harden, 5-10 minutes before adding the football stitches.
- Draw 3 stitches on each almond.
- Allow the royal icing to harden completely before adding the footballs to the puppy chow.
Green Puppy Chow
- Measure out 4 cups of chex cereal into a gallon plastic bag.
- Combine the green candy melts, vegetable oil, and peanut butter in a pot over low heat on the stove. Occasionally stir with a spatula until the chocolate is smooth and melted.
- Pour the melted chocolate into the plastic bag. Zip it shut and shake to evenly coat the cereal with chocolate.
- Add 3/4 cup powdered sugar to the bag, zip, and shake again. If the puppy chow is too sticky, add more powdered sugar 1/4 cup at a time.
- Set aside.
Brown Puppy Chow
- Measure out 4 cups of chex cereal into a gallon plastic bag.
- Combine the chocolate chips, vegetable oil, and peanut butter in a pot over low heat on the stove.
- In a large bowl or serving tray, combine the green and brown puppy chow. Add in the m&ms and the almond footballs.
- Serve and enjoy!
