trends and fringe

It is winter in many parts of our nation. Here in Houston we had 72 degree weather this weekend, but in the morning it will be 42 degrees and dropping to the 30’s by late afternoon. If you want different weather here, just wait about 5 minutes and your wish will come true. With that said we really have to watch the weather forecast so we know how to dress here. Could be shorts and flip flops in the morning and boots and sweaters by afternoon. So with the trend of fringe, it’s safe to say we have to be mindful of the weather!

There are 3 trends going on here. One of the biggest trends of the winter season and moving into the spring is fringe. With the rodeo starting here in Houston in just over a week, it is a great time to pull out the fringe. Fringe could be on your dress, booties, jacket, top, handbag, and etc. Add some cowboy boots instead of fashion boots and you are ready for a night at the rodeo.

The next trend is animal print. Really, animal print never goes out of style. If you don’t have any animal print in your wardrobe, I feel sure you could find a top, jeans, shoes, handag, or jacket to keep you on trend. It would be a good investment!

The last trend is the boot and bootie craze. We all have been wearing boots for years, but this year I have seen a lot of bootie styles as well as a lot of over the knee boots. I, in fact bought 2 new pair of over the knee boots this year. Right now is the time to pick up some great deals on boots.

One more trend here that I almost forgot is the cross body bag. I love it because most of these bags are smaller and wearing them croosbody distributes the weight lessening any stress on your back, neck and shoulders.
