I love March for 2 reasons……it is the first month of the year that brings in a new season…..spring. and boy after this winter season in most of the country, I think we are all ready for spring. The second thing I love about March, is it is my birthday month…which makes me a march mermaid! Yes, this Sunday March 8th I was born 60 years ago. I love my March birthday, because every birthday that I can remember I would get new spring clothes.
If you are in to the Zodiac, you know that March babies are the sign of the fish. I don’t know if there is really any relation, but I do love the water and have always loved mermaids. That being said when I found this sequin skirt, I had to have it. I call it my mermaid skirt.
What is really cool about this skirt is that it can be worn so many ways. I can make a cocktail look by changing the top, handbag and the shoes, I could wear a denim shirt with it or endles other choices. I personally like the high low look as I have done here.
This skirt has so many colors reflecting making it a real fun piece to play with in your closet! This is my first spring fashion post, and over the next several weeks I will be sharing some of my spring finds as well as some spring fashion inspirations. Hopefully you are excited about this new season as I am.

Today my friend Nicki and I went down the road to the Kemah Boardwalk on Galvestion Bay just south of Houston, TX. Being a cool day and off season, there were not many people around, but give it another week when spring break hits, this place will be jamming.
If you are not from this area, I would say that this would be a great destination trip for you. There are some really quaint B&B’s and small little Inns. If you live in the city of Houston it would be a wonderful way to spend an afternoon as it only takes about 45 minutes to get to and when you get here, you can enjoy some of the best seafood anywhere.
