Well, I have returned from my island vacation, but I still feel the summer tropics in my DNA. Luckily I live in Houston where we have tropical temps at least 8 months out of the year, so we dress like we are on a beach vacation whenever we want to and we won’t be out of place.
Today, I am showing this beautiful Ted Baker of London dress that I picked up recently that fit me like a glove. I just couldn’t pass it up. I can wear this dress to so many events and places by just changing up the accessories. This Ted Baker of London dress is made of the same material, but it is a different style that might fit your style better.
I am doing a mix of high low accessories with this look today. Just to confuse you, Dee Keller suede pumps and a Rebecca Minkoff shoulder handbag that is a little dressier, but mixed with a casual hair braid pulled to the side with my J Crew Panama Hat and Prada Retro sunglasses.
To finish my look, I always add accessories. I would never go without earrings except that this Kendra Scott necklace is such a statement piece and with the hat I am wearing, I didn’t feel like earrings were necessary. Less is more sometimes.
If you are feeling to change it up, just change the style of the pumps. Maybe a black Vince Camuto caged sandal with a chunky heel would be more your style. Try removing the hat and wear a large earring like this new Kendra Scott Flora earring that I am totally obsessed with!!!
I could go on and on about how to change this dress to suite your occasion. Oh…..maybe a cute Birkenstock thong sandal, Elaine Turner raffia tote bag, and big raffia floppy hat would be adorable?????? That would be me!!!
BTW…. The flower photos in the middle of this post are from my back yard. The amarillis have been exceptionally beautiful this year!!!!
