If you have been following me then you must see that I love color. You must check out a new designer that I was introduced to at my recent birthday party at Tootsies in Houston, TX. Mara Hoffman has the most fun designs for the contemporary girl portrayed in the most vivid colors.
Today is bittersweet….we closed on our part time home in Austin, TX and this is the last photoshoot done in the back yard by the pool. I wanted to shoot down by the creek, but the weather wasn’t cooperating. A special place that we bought about 3 1/2 years ago, totally renovating the house and outside living areas. The reality of having other homes is you must go there a lot because there is a lot of up keep and we were not able to spend the time there that we needed to make it worth all of the effort and expense. It seems like all we did was wait on contractors when we were there. So, with that said, we decided to sell it and be free of all of the responsibility. We work work work to get get get and for what???????
One thing about Austin is it’s laid back hippie vibe, so this maxi dress is the perfect look for a night out in this cool town. As you know, I love color and this Mara Hoffman dress is loaded with color. This dress was last seasons, but I selected one that she did this year that is very similar.
Maxi dresses can be worn with a casual sandal or a high heel sandal. It depends where you want to wear it. Dress it up or down. They are also great for a cruise. There are many websites that you can search for cute maxi dresses as well as other summer dresses etc. Nordstrom is my favorite, as well as Revolve, Asos, Shopbob, Neiman Marcus, Chicwish, and Free People.
Many retailers are already doing great markdowns, but I will say if you see something you love, then don’t wait because sizes are selling through fast. Fall shipments start in June if you can believe it????? Yuk!!
