My week in Galveston, TX was filled with all kinds of activity. The reason for this week in Galveston was the Lunar Rendezvous festival Fashion Show and then the ball where our grand daughter was being presented as a Lunar Rendezvous princess. Scroll to previous posts for more on those events. The rest of time was spent hanging out at our rented house in Beachside Village, Galveston, TX. We found Beachside Village by accident and I highly recommend if you want to be close to The Strand (town ). It is the newest and closest seaside community to all of the action. Homes are available for purchase and for rent or you can buy a lot and build your own house in this quaint seaside community. If you live in Houston or surrounding areas of Houston, this is a great place for a quick trip for a beach weekend. We rented  our house through http://www.sandnsea.com/

Beachside Village
Lifestyle

Beachside Villages is a Traditional Neighborhood Design (TND). The project is a pedestrian-oriented development that typically includes a neighborhood center, greenbelts, and a mix of other uses. These neighborhoods are reminiscent of 18th and 19th century American European towns, along modern considerations for the automobile. Beachside Village will also include, commercial and retail establishments, restaurants and offices, residences, and a neighborhood square. It’s all about the lifestyle, relaxing, easygoing and by the beach. ( beachsidevillage.com )

There is so much to do on Galveston Island that we did not do this time but you can go to www.galveston.com/visitorscenter and find everything you need to know about this fun island. I will say that my very favorite restaurant is family owned restaurant Rudy and Paco’s located on Post Office St. Check out the photo above, of the yummy fish dinner that I had. Paco and Denise Vargos owners are always welcoming and offer fresh delicious food as well a great service. Tell them the Frede’s from Clear Lake sent you.

After our dinner at Rudy and Paco’s we drove down the seawall to do a little people watching and check out the beautiful lights at the new boardwalk. (see photo) The rest of the time was relaxing on the beach!!

I hope you have enjoyed my Week In Galveston!! Stay tuned for more SheSheShow adventures!!

MY ISLAND STYLE: I discovered a wonderful vintage shop in Houston, Cheeky Vintage back in the spring and found this adorable Lilly Pulitzer look alike that fit me to a T. It must date back to the late 60’s or early 70’s. Right in style wouldn’t you say?? Please stop by some time if you live in the Houston area or happen to visit our great city. My friend Valerie Ditner will show you around this cute upscale vintage boutique. You just might find that rare collectible designer piece. Kendra Scott Earrings and Rachael double ring | Donald Pliner white similar wedge sandal , on sale | White calf hair clutch |White Coach sunglasses, on sale | Asics trainers | Sun Hat |

Being SheShe brings a huge responsibility to the midlife woman and I am definitely up to it!! I want to share with you what I have been exploring and trying to master for many years. I will say that there is no finish line, but it’s the journey……and I hope you will stick around for the adventure!!! -XO SheShe
