Black, white and Bakelite time! This week we are winding out the end of summer with my go to looks ……cool comfortable dresses. It is the hottest month of the summer for most in our country and dresses are definitely the way to go. I love the clean fresh feel of this little black and white dress. I love color as you know, so instead of a black or white handbag, I popped the look with a great red bag. You might also try yellow, hot pink, or a kelly green bag.
This dress is on sale now and I have linked below a few dresses from the same label (Parker) that are similar. I will say it is very cute, but this label runs very small. I sized up 2 sizes from my normal size. The Donald Pliner sandals are also on major sale.
My YSL Nano handbag is a splurge for sure, but I have also linked a couple of other red handbags for much less!!
Last but not least are my accessories. My bracelet is a vintage bakelite bracelet that I purchased at a Paris flea market about 10 years ago. FYI Bakelite jewelry is very collectible. It was made back in the 20’s and on through the 50’s. After that Catalin bought the patent and similar products to Bakelite were made. You can still find unique Bakelite or Catalin treasures on many websites as well as upscale flea markets.
