Biking…..Colorado Style

I have enjoyed riding a bicycle all my life. I find that it is a great exercise while enjoying the great outdoors at the same time. I am not a hard core cyclist, but I do love cruising around. Now that we are out of the high mountains and have our river property, it is a lot easier to ride. Today I’m talking biking….Colorado style!

I wanted to take Miss ‘Pippa’ along on my rides, so I found this great Nantucket bicycle basket. It is the perfect size for her. The first time I put her in it she was not a happy camper. In fact as we started down the road she sprang out like a rabbit, landed on her feet then rolled a couple of times. It scared both of us to death. I immediately picked her up and loved on her and made sure she was alright. I put her back in the basket and reassured her over and over. This time she stayed inside and that was all she wrote. She now takes in the sites like her mama.

Now I don’t always dress like this when riding, but I just wanted to take a ride the day I had this outfit on. I will say I was comfortable. My kimono is from Free People and it sold out, but Free People always carries boho kimonos. I love graphic T Shirts for my casual dressing. They are an extension of my personality. I just got these great jeans from the Nordstrom sale. They have great stretch which makes them perfect for pedaling my bike. Belts have not been a fashion look for a while, but this season I am seeing the return of the western belt.

Fringe is still going strong again this season. I threw on a small leather fringe crossbody bag that holds my phone and basic necessities for the ride. It also comes in a tan color. I love my cute little black sneakers. I have 3 pair now from different brands and wear them often. If you check out the magazines, you will see sneakers worn with dresses and skirts as well as pants. Our feet are so happy!!! Well, last but not least I never forget my hat and sunglasses. I spend way too much money on my face to go and get too much sun.

The weather will start getting really nice in the next next few weeks, so let’s get outside, get some exercise and enjoy life!!        Xo, SheShe
