This is the first gift guide of SheShe’s 12 Days of Gift Guides. It’s the time of year for holiday parties and Mrs. Manners says that it is proper to take a gift for the hostess at the party that you are attending. We have curated some great items here today that any host or hostess would so appreciate.
I just had a conversation with my 21 year old grandson the other day and he thought that this gift guide for the hostess was so silly. He said that he doesn’t take a gift to the host or hostess of the party. That comment cracked me up!!! I ask him what kind of parties does he go to and how old are the people that are throwing the party? Of course they are all in their early twenties and most still in college. We just had the best grandmother/grandson lesson in life etiquette.
I explained that the gift doesn’t have to be expensive or from Neiman Marcus. It could be something homemade, cute napkins or a unique beverage. Creativity is the word. Sweater // This sweater just sold out, but I this one would go with the skirt perfectly. I also think that this one would work too.
Skirt // I love this skirt so much. I have worn it 4 times already in the last 3 weeks. It looks so much like Self Portrait ( a higher end brand ) but this skirt is much less, but is very well made. It does run a little small. I am a size 6 and the medium fits perfect.
Boots // I bought these this time last year at Nordstrom but these boots are very similar and they are 25% off right now. I also love this grey boot.
Handbag // When I saw this beautiuful velvet Rebecca Minkoff bag I knew I would get so much wear out of it if it was in my closet and I was right. This color is the color of the season and it goes with just about everything. It also comes in a yummy dark blue velvet.
Earrings // I have been collecting tassel earring for a couple of years now so if you don’t have a pair, then now is the time and I have the resource for you and most are only $38. I love this pair from Nordstrom and also this beaded burgandy pair. Bauble Bar also has the best costume jewelry at very affordable prices.
Fur scarf // The fur caplet that I am wearing is from an old old outfit from years ago. I kept it and I kept a couple of others as well.
