Even though I don’t wear blacks and white very often, I do love the look, so today I am sharing tips on how to style classic blouses. I chose these two blouses on purpose, because most of the time I am in bright colors and I was feeling like I needed to change things up a little. You might say a refresh or trying something out of the box from what I normally do.
Today I am sharing with you a brand, Marie Oliver, a women’s lifestyle brand created to curate wardrobes filled with timeless, modern, and charming pieces that are, at once, elegant and easy. Subscribing to the belief that one can never be overdressed, Marie Oliver is designed to channel a confident sensibility from day to night. Read all about Sarah Evensen, the founder and creator. I love her story and her vision!! We could all grow up with Marie Oliver because artful and classic is for every age.
These make great investments for your wardrobe. In my first look I took this beautiful black blouse and paired it with jeans. I added a black pump, big statement earrings and a designer bag to complete the look.
This season and moving forward, everything is about the sleeve. This top has a lined bodice but the sleeves are sheer giving a little sex appeal. I also love the keyhole closure in the front. It’s not too low, but gives a little more detail to the blouse. This blouse would traditionally be worn with a black narrow skirt or a skinny pant. I chose to tuck it into my jeans and added a belt. Belts have been in the back seat for a few years but they are trending big time right now in to 1 1/2″ wide style or wider. I am not seeing skinny belts right now.
This top has a lot of volume in the sleeves, so I am one that would not do a lot of volume on the bottom. It would be a statement piece for many occasions and so sophisticated and classy.

I luvvvv this blouse too!! They are both so beautiful and classic and unlike the black blouse that is flowy and romantic, this one is more edgy with the color blocking but still is definitely a classic. This style is longer making it easier to wear as a tunic style. I haven’t tried tucking it in but I am not feeling it. I chose to add a pearl choker to this look as well as a metallic Chanel handbag and embellished pearl jeans. A cool bootie in leopard would also work. If this is all to much, then wear skinny black pants or jeans with a boring black bootie. I sorry……I like to walk on the edge. ( I wish WordPress had fun emoji’s )
This top would be amazing worn with a black slightly flared pant or a skinny pant. There again, I wouldn’t do a lot of fullness on the bottom. It is all all about the top.
I hope these style tips with these beautiful classic, stylish blouses will help you create your own look that you can feel beautiful and confident!
