One of my biggest challenges as an accessories addict is packing as little jewelry as possible when taking a trip. Today I am going to show you how to wear the same classic gold jewelry day to night, therefore less jewelry to pack. I can literally wear this jewelry with just about everything.
If you remember that late last summer I worked with JTV.com (Jewelry Television ) on a project. I was in Colorado at the time, so if you want to see what we did for that post, you can read it here. JTV.com is located in Knoxville, Tennessee just 16 miles from where I was raised. I also spent 4 years in Knoxville where I got my degree. My family still lives in Maryville and I visit twice a year. During my last visit I was invited to visit JTV.com headquarters and studio. WOW, what an experience from the time I walked in the doors until I walked out 3 hours later.
I had the pleasure of spending the day with Kennedee, online marketing manager, where we both got the grand tour from Courtney and ended up in Jewel School with Christiane, where she helped me make my own pair of earrings and a beautiful necklace. Upon my departure, I was gifted a gorgeous opal bracelet and chunky chain gold tone necklace. So you see, my relationship with JTV.com is not just business, but building friendships as well. Which is why JTV.com viewership is growing like leaps and bounds. It truly is a family community.
Daytime Look Wearing Classic Gold Jewelry
Recently I had an unexpected whirlwind trip to New York City come up and very little time to pack. Of course I wanted to be stylish, but I also didn’t want to stick out like a sore thumb. In other words I normally reach for a bold colorful outfit with big chunky jewelry. Instead, I reached for my classic gold jewelry pieces from JTV.com to pair back with my camo shirt dress worn as a duster over white jeans, wedge neutral wedge sandals and white t-shirt. I felt so beautifully classic, but yet presented a strong fashionable statement. In NYC I feel like I have to reign it in a little because black is the choice of most fashionistas. Why?? I don’t know!! If I lived there I would have to start a new colorful trend.
I love these jewelry pieces that I chose for my looks today because they are so very versatile taking me from day to night.
- The 10k Yellow gold graduated greek key Link necklace was a standout when making my selection. This screams designer to me at a fraction of the cost as that of a “name designer” brand. At 18 inches, it is the perfect size to wear under a collared shirt or a plain round neck t-shirt like I am wearing hear. This piece could also mix well with other gold tone jewelry for a layered look. Think 30″ necklace or how about a choker?
- I am always looking for trending but classic pieces for my jewelry wardrobe. That is why these 14k yellow gold Hematine Bead Stations/chain Colori earrings fit the ticket. I love the components of chain, beads and geometric shapes that give a very modern feel. They work well together with the greek key necklace.
- The 10k yellow gold bamboo stampato bracelet is another great designer look that I love layering with my other bracelets. This bracelet is timeless!!! You cannot corner it into a certain style. Even though a classic, this eclectic piece is like a chameleon that goes with just about anything!
The other necessary item that is important for daytime and travel is the trending cross body mini bag. It must fit the essentials, my large cell phone, ID/cardholder, cash, lipstick and writing pen or it won’t work. I then have a travel tote bag for all of the other essentials. And last but not least is some sort of brimmed hat. I try very hard to keep my face from direct contact with the sun. Plus a hat is so very chic!!

Evening Look Wearing Classic Gold Jewelry
This next look goes back to the over all look of my brand, COLOR!! I just could not do this post without some color. Even though this dress could be worn for day or for night, I am showing you an evening look wearing the same 3 pieces as I wore in the casual camo/white denim look I wore in NYC in the first photos. This is the perfect in home dinner party or an evening out to dinner, the theatre or cocktail fundraiser. It would even work for a day before 8pm wedding event.
Because this dress already screams at you, that is why my jewelry my jewelry choices are less in your face. Plus, for evening looks I prefer to be much more sophisticated. I do not see statement jewelry making this outfit loved by others, but I do think with understated jewelry that still is modern will turn heads walking in the door. I don’t know about you, but I do dress to impress. Maybe you don’t won’t to be noticed and if that is the case then don’t choose a bold colorful stripe dress!! This is my style. What is cool though is that this JTV.com gold classic jewelry goes with your style, whatever that might be.
