Today is Sheree’s birthday AND International Women’s Day! Sheree will be taking the day off to celebrate with her hubby with some much-needed time with nature and peace! So today I am going to share with you my thoughts on International Women’s Day, some on Sheree, and why this day matters to me!

Who Are You?

I am sure you ladies are wondering “who is this third person”? I’d like to introduce myself! Francesca here, I have been Sheree’s assistant for over 3 years. Many of you ladies I have watched grow and even been INSPIRED by over the years. Whether it be fashion or friendship through SheShe Show, I am behind the scenes working closely with SheShe!

A Little About Me…

Hi girls, I am a 28-year-old mother, a single one at that. With that being said I’m sure you are aware of the struggles of being a mother, whether it be with a partner or the amplified version of doing it alone. Being a mother correlates with who I am as a growing woman, my true purpose, and definitely my biggest pride in my womanhood. I was a girl who never really wanted children and God has a funny way of giving us just what we NEED. Throughout my journey as a woman and mother, I have met an array of women with souls so beautiful I cannot even compare them to anything except angels. I was raised by a single father so the craving to have a mother figure and woman in my life was always incomplete. Obviously that carried into my adulthood and even more so the day I welcomed my child into the world. Sheree has been one of the biggest influences in my life and not a day goes by that I am not thankful and God has heard many prayers expressing my gratefulness for blessing me with her.

I have many versions of Sheree that I experience! Sheree is first and foremost, my boss! She’s shown me hard work and determination, even when there really is no reward! I was lost as a goose during my divorce and most of all – scared! I was given the opportunity of a full-time job with SheShe. She showed me patience, grace, all while holding me accountable – which was just what I needed to stay busy and strong. While I left broken, lost, and terrified about how I could do this alone – my daughter has everything she could ever dream of and more. I have been able to provide her with everything I dreamed of as a little girl, thanks to Sheree. Besides being my bosslady, Sheree has been a mother figure to me. Many times I have looked her in the eyes and she has simply said “come here” and embraced me as if I was her own child. Which is something I believe as women we tend to forget about ourselves – we are someone’s child and most of all we are God’s. Whether it be needing advice with my 5-year-old who’s going on 15, divorce, work, friendships, or relationships, Sheree has been my go-to. Oftentimes, I find myself pausing and thinking “what would SheShe do” during hard times and the GOOD times! Sheree is a woman that every girl could benefit from by looking up to. She is wise and much less impulsive than I am! SheShe also has given me so much guidance with all of my struggles as a young woman and single mother by keeping me focused on my man guy! The Lord! Staying true to God – besides the great women in my life, God has kept me sane, strong, and persevering.

The Birthday Girl – Sheree Frede

There’s generally one side that everyone sees of Sheree and that is the influencer. She is so much more and I could go on for hours about how interesting, incredible and inspirational she is. A few fun facts – Sheree has been a teacher, a pilot, a model, and so much more. She is one of the most passionate women I have ever met in my life! She is caring and has a heart of gold. Sheree is a board member at Hope Farms with Recipe for Success. Recipe for Success Foundation’s mission to mobilize the community to provide healthier diets for children, Hope Farms grows fresh, affordable produce in the midst of a Houston “food desert” while training and providing small-business incubation, co-op services, and workforce readiness for U.S. Veterans and others, preparing them to be urban agri-preneurs. She has also been a board member for an organization whose mission is advocating to end domestic and sexual violence. To give peace to every woman, child, and man!! During my three years of being with Sheree, I have seen her passion for women growing. She’s not only passionate about donations but actually providing opportunities to grow. Did you know SheShe Show’s entire staff is made up of single mothers? Talk about a group of strong ladies!

You Matter

Today may be International Women’s Day, but every day is for YOU, queen. Since birth, it’s a fight to be seen, heard, understood, and treated equally. With great women supporting and walking with each other it makes every day a little easier and the world is seeing that the strongest fighters are WOMEN! We are often defined by our bodies, pant size, pasts, etc., the list goes on and on. These do NOT define me, you, our daughters, mothers, girlfriends, it’s that soul and fire that burns inside of every one of us that matters, and we will pass on from generation to generation and that does not only mean in the family. The impact Sheree has made in my life and my womanhood will be carried into every woman in my bloodline including my daughter and granddaughters! It’s her FOOTPRINT! We all leave ours, it’s truly a beautiful thing being a woman. If you feel it or not or maybe a little, you are beautiful, strong, intelligent, perfectly flawed, and you may not always feel heard or understood but after our time, your spirit will make another girl or woman shine bright! Thank you for being you, babes! Happy International Women’s Day – YOU matter and let’s give a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the woman who’s leaving her footprint! Happy Birthday Sheree Frede, you beautiful soul, you. There’s no one like you, thank you for being YOU and sharing your knowledge, beauty, strength, wisdom, with me. You are loved unconditionally by so many – with no idea the impact you have on the world! I know for sure on my days of feeling defeated and like giving up – you have been a reason for fixing my crown. YOU ARE A QUEEN! Love ya!
