Although you probably can guess by the many photos of my peplum top outfit, I really struggled to find something to wear tonight. In planning what to wear for a date night in Colorado with my ‘Norman’, I think about a couple of things. First, the temperature and where are we going? In the Montrose area of Colorado, it can get warm during the day but drop a lot a night, so the key is to wear something that can be layered. Second, Colorado is super casual almost anywhere you go, but the fashionista in me always wants to be casual but also stylish.
With that said, I love to wear one of my bustiers/corsets or a peplum top. Like this top I am wearing, it is both bustier/corset and peplum. These types of tops are cute, cool and casual but lend themselves to be layered with a jacket, sweater, or trending now the poncho or cape.
Pale colors used to be considered spring/summer colors, but now throw any pale color back with denim jeans or any color for that matter (even white ) and wear year round. This top also has a beautiful matching lace skirt that would step up the whole look for a special occasion!!
