This is the first time in many years that we have not had a family member graduate from either high school or college. I think we have a break for a couple of years. If you are over 40 you will start attending graduations and it just doesn’t end. Today we are going to take the thinking about what to wear and share with you our top all occasion dresses this graduation season!!
Depending on where you will be attending your grads big day will dictate what you should wear. Also, every graduation that I have been to, I have seen a little bit of everything. I always like to wear a dress or skirt with an easy low heeled that I am comfortable in. Sometimes I see very fancy dresses and sometimes I have even seen pants or even shorts. Nice slacks with a pretty top or jacket can look very nice, but please NO shorts!
Last year we were in Princeton, N.J to attend one of our grandson’s graduation. Lovely town, but it rained and it was very cool so the cute dress that I had packed was totally not going to work. We wore the warmest clothes that we had and wore throw-away rain ponchos to keep us dry. As with many college graduations, this one was outside. So, when traveling to attend a graduation make sure you have a backup plan.
The dress I am wearing in these photos can be worn for so many occasions but would most definitely be great for a warm weather graduation. If you will scroll down we have linked some other dresses for you that could work for a spring graduation or a number of other warm-weather events.

SHESHE’S TIDBITS
- My youngest sister and her family are here with us on Sanibel Island. It was gorgeous yesterday so the guys went fishing and the girls went shelling in the morning and then back to the beach after lunch for an afternoon of enjoying the beach. Last night we ate at our local favorite the Lazy Flamingo. I woke up early today to watch the royal wedding. I would not miss it!
