Over the next couple of months, we will be heavily into fall trends and one of my favorites that is constant year end and year out is the denim jacket. Today we are sharing a few ideas on how to style your denim jacket. If you don’t have one, then we have you covered!! Literally!
I cannot remember my first denim jacket. It was probably an oversized acid wash jacket from the eighties. We are actually seeing some of that trend emerging again. I can’t even count how many denim jackets I have owned over my life, but my favorites have always been made by Levi’s, Ralph Lauren and J Crew. Just recently I am liking what AG Jeans is doing as well as Madewell. They all have that classic style to them. So, what is the big deal about a denim jacket? They go with just about everything…..even an evening gown, but today we are showing the denim jacket over a print dress. My outfit is provided by SheShe Boutique of Montrose, Colorado. (my former store). I have linked several print dresses that can be worn now and then later by adding your denim jacket.
WAYS TO WEAR A DENIM JACKET
- Over a printed dress, any length ( florals, stripes, polka dots, etc.)
- Over a lace or ruffle dresses ( the allure of mixing the feminine with the masculine)
- Over skirts. (pencil, tiered, a line, tulle, chiffon, etc)
- Over pants. (Any style will do)
- Over anything leather! (dresses, pants, skirts)
- Over a little black dress or black pants (I love this look so much)
- Over denim skirts or jeans (denim on denim is soo good)
