Jumpsuits, every woman’s go to for an easy, fun, flirty, and fashionable look! The most iconic jumpsuits first appeared in the 50’s and they are back and all of the roar this season. This weeks post is all about our top jumpsuits. So read on below and get your shop on ladies!
THE JUMPSUIT
While the jumpsuit may have first appeared in 1919, it was more so for military and factory workers. It was destiny for this fabulous utility jumpsuit to make ways onto runways and televisions everywhere thanks to Coco Chanel! With social changes and shifting attitudes jumpsuits were everywhere in the 50’s and 60’s. It was with a modern age that jumpsuits became the symbol of pop culture. Nowadays, the jumpsuit is chic, effortless, and timeless. Who wouldn’t want that?
OUR FAVORITES
For our favorites, we have quite a few we like. There’s a jumpsuit for every occasion and some you can wear year-round or add layers to dress it up or down. Below is a list of our top jumpsuits this season.
Formal – For a more formal look this Lauren Ralph Lauren Ruffle One-Shoulder Jumpsuit. Is a great fit and with it having a crepe material it is not as fragile as you would think.
Casual – A lot of jumpsuits are casual depending on what they are paired with. This beautiful lightweight linen jumpsuit is a summer staple for your casual jumpsuit.
Beachy – Feeling like a stroll on the beach? This breezy cotton Gal Meets Glam jumpsuit is perfect for you, still fun and colorful!
Wedding – I have this beautiful Eliza J Embroidered Bodice Wide Leg Jumpsuit and every time I’ve worn it I definitely turn heads. When I recently wore it to a less formal occasion I paired it with a cute brown leather jacket and some booties!
Lounge – I have found a great jumpsuit that I love to lounge around in. It is by Lunya and is a washable silk jumpsuit and not only is it washable but it has pockets and is adjustable.
Workout – When your hitting the gym or headed out for yogo this MAKARASANA All In One is amazing. I even like to pair mine with a hoodie and a cute hat and head out for a busy day.
Office – When deciding on a jumpsuit for the office make sure it is not revealing and distracting. Something like this Tahari Crepe jumpsuit, so cute but still very classy, and if you want a little more pizzazz go for something like this Eliza J Crop with delicate and feminine features.
Boho – Look at this stunning ASOS DESIGN kimono sleeve fringe embroidered jumpsuit! I am in love and it’s under $100!
STYLING TIPS
For styling your jumpsuit you can always belt it. Some jumpsuits even come with their own belt. Adding a duster or kimono gives it that extra bohemian look as well. Depending on the style of jumpsuit fun, bright, chunky accessories always vamp it up.
When picking out a jumpsuit make sure it’s the right length. You may need to get it tailored so it is not too long. Plenty of brands even offer theirs in petite also. I find the best thing about wearing a jumpsuit is they are truly easy to style and with little effort, no matter the occasion. Just makes sure it is your fitted length and appropriate for your occasion and you will not only turn heads but shine like a runway star!
ACCESSORIES
Accessories are always so important to me when styling my outfits and my jumpsuit today allows me to have a lot of fun with lots of styling options. Rather than pile on a lot of chunky jewelry which I love to do, I opted to let my adorable stripe and floral tote be the standout. Oh, and the headband is the latest craze in hair accessories. It kind of reminds me of Lucille Ball!
OUTFIT DETAILS
My jumpsuit is by one of my favorite brands (Alice + Olivia) , I was worried with it being a denim jumpsuit and having a long torso that it would be an awkward fit and I actually could have sized down! It fits great, stretches nicely and was the perfect length! This adorably chic tote is by none other than Chico’s and is priced through a huge sale! It’s size helps to travel with or when I’m having a long and about day to be able to bring all of my necessities. Shoes are by See By Chloe and I can say they are some of the most comfortable wedges I own!
IN CONCLUSION
No matter the occasion or season a jumpsuit is a good go to. It’s chic and forever a classic. Just makes sure it is your fit and for the proper occasion and you will look like you walked straight out of a magazine. I hope our picks helped narrow yours down for this season and let us know if you have any stunning ways you like to style your jumpsuit!
