Two words sum up my life right now: holiday parties. I love spending time with family and friends…but I don’t always like cooking elaborate recipes for them.
Don’t get me wrong, spending time in the kitchen can be therapeutic–but during this season, it can feel more like a chore.
So today we thought we’d share some easier recipes we found that are perfect for holiday parties.
From cheese to chocolate…we have you covered. Keep reading for ideas that’ll let you take the stress out of the holiday parties, so you can enjoy them to their fullest!
FOOD
Easy Christmas Appetizer “Hummus Wreath”
Recipe from: Two Healthy Kitchens
This one is super simple and super cute. All you need is hummus, parsley, feta, and tomatoes–and you’ve got yourself the best (and cutest) app!
Cranberry Brie Bites
Cranberry Brie Bites are perfect for the cold days during this season. I mean is there anything better than warm bread and cheese? I don’t think so.
Red and Green Bruschetta
This twist on bruschetta might be even better than the real thing. Avocado toast + pomegranate salsa makes for a fresh, light appetizer guests will love.
Easy Sausage (Jingle) Balls
Okay you caught me…I added the word “jingle.” BUT I do think this recipe is perfect for a holiday party. While it’s not necessarily holiday-themed, it is a classic dish and one that will fill guests up when they need a break from all the carbs.
Spicy Roasted Olives
This one is another light fare and one that happens to be festive! This mix of olives, rosemary, and tangerines will be refreshing and (perhaps more importantly) easy to make!
DESSERT
Holiday Cream Cheese Candies
I love this idea for a holiday party that involves kids, because they’re sure to love these colors. All you need is cream cheese, some peppermint extract, and sugar–so easy, and so good.
Holiday Oreo Truffles
I mean how decadent do these look? This is another super easy one–all you need are some Oreos, cream cheese, and white chocolate bark. Pro tip: add some red/green sprinkles to make it extra festive.
Holiday Peanut Butter Cookie Cup
Recipe from: Inside BruCrew Life
I absolutely love peanut butter, making this recipe a no-brainer. This one is a little more advanced than the two recipes above, but it’s nothing you can’t do with ingredients you probably already have. Plus, the sprinkles on top make it even more perfect for this time of year.
White Chocolate and Raspberry Blondies
Recipe from: Jane’s Patisserie
I really love this one for something a little different from the classic chocolate desserts. Plus if you master this recipe, it’s definitely something that can be repeated for normal, non-holiday parties.
Holiday Peppermint Bark
Recipe from: Dinner, then Dessert
Best part of this recipe? You can take the leftovers home and enjoy them for days to come. Peppermint is perfect for the holidays…and so is this recipe!
