Think about how much time you spend in the shower per week. For me, that’s a pretty high number for an activity I usually don’t think much about.
But why don’t we think about it? For a place that kicks off our day or brings it to a close, or even both…our showers deserve more than a clean every now-and-then.
So today we’re talking all about improving our shower game, in hopes we can inspire you to do the same. Keep reading for some great products, helpful hacks, and tips and tricks for transforming this space.
Shower Shelving
Trust me, it’s time to invest in some shelves. My back can no longer take bending over every time I need some more shampoo or conditioner…so shelves are a must for me. Check out some of our favorites below!
Drink Holders
I get it…this one might not be for everyone 😉
The obvious use of this is for alcoholic beverages, in case you’re in a rush to get somewhere but need some liquid courage.
But I also love the idea of using this for a big glass of water or tea…to wake you up in the morning or help you sleep better at night. Check out this chic drink holder from Uncommon Goods or this cute turquoise one from Target.
Speakers for Your Shower
Waterproof Bluetooth speakers are an absolute MUST. When you have great music or podcasts…the shower can quickly become your stage or your classroom!
Plus, you can take these speakers to the beach, to the pool, etc. Here are a few speakers we love:
Foot Scrubbers
Obviously, our feet carry a TON of dirt and need to be cleaned as often (if not more) than the rest of our body. I love using foot scrubbers to realllllly get in there and remove all the day’s dirt.
Check out this super-affordable foot scrubber on Amazon. It might not be the most aesthetic product listed, but you can keep this tucked away in cabinets until you’re ready.
Bath Mats
I truly believe that NOTHING can transform your routine like the bath mat outside of it! Remember the bath mats from my Modern Mountain Master Bathroom reveal a few years back?! Absolutely love them.
The perfect bath mat is subjective, but there a few things we can all agree on: absorbancy, comfort, and style.
So we picked our favorite combination of these three things below. Check them out!
Scents In Your Shower
This is another one of my favorite improvements to my routine: adding scents! Obviously candles aren’t really an option, and plugins aren’t always strong enough.
Check out this showerhead from AromaSense that actually has room for Vitamin C cartridges. The cartridges come in a variety of different flavors, so you can customize your scent and get a fresh burst of flavor.
This is another great in-shower aromatherapy kit, from EssioShower.
Towels
This year, let’s rid ourselves of the basic bath towels we’ve owned forever and treat ourselves to some new ones.
Good Housekeeping published a list of their best towels of 2020, and we have no choice but to agree. I buy this one and it can be monogrammed. Check out a few of their other picks, along with some of ours, here:
Here’s a hack: according to Bustle and a few other sources, using towels to dry your hair actually strips your hair of necessary moisture. Try using a t-shirt instead. Ha…..who would know, right?
How are you improving your shower game in 2020?
