We are definitely heating up in Texas and most everywhere in the US. When it is over 90 degrees you can bet your booty I am wearing shorts or most probable a loose fitting dress. So, today we are bringing you our favorite comfortable summer dresses in shift styles, tank styles and tent style dresses. Any of our picks are perfect for our COVID-19 summer lifestyle.

Living in Houston and Florida, dressing the right way is so important to me. I am definitely reaching for those breezy, flowy, airy dresses. They are the easiest, super comfortable and of course CUTE for days days walking Miss Pippa, grocery shopping or working at my computer.

When choosing my clothes, it is usually color that immediately draws me in and then I ask myself if the style is right for my body type, does it work for my lifestyle and can I style it at least 3 ways. This yellow dress checked all the boxes but the best part is is a comfortable lightweight knit that didn’t break the bank.

Summer Shift Style Dresses

The shift dress first made its way into fashion in the 1920’s ( flapper dress ) then after the cinched in waist period of the 1950’s, the shift dress made a comeback but with a different twist. Since then it has stayed relevant in fashion in one way or another. Add jewelry, a belt or large scarf and change up your look over and over.

Summer Tank Style Dresses

Tank dresses have a slight sportie element which I love so much. They are easy to accessorize and they look great with a denim jacket or long cardigan layered over them. The ac in the summer can be very chilling.

Summer Tent Style Dresses

Tent style dress are also referred to as the a-line dress or trapezoid. It can easily hide bigger hips or tummy pooch without looking too frumpy. Make it a standout with a great lace up wedge sandal, statement necklace and chunky bracelet or bracelet stack. My dress today I would consider a tent style dress and can be found at Soft Surroundings. By the way they are in the middle of a major Summer Sale so be sure to check it out!! Great for our at home style these days!

In Conclusion

A comfortable dress in the heat of the summer is a no-brainer. They are not only comfortable but versatile and with the right shoes and accessories they are super cute! Ditch the cutoffs and t-shirts and step up your game with a cute easy dress. Your kids, husband or partner will love it! XO, SHESHE
