Every summer I hop in my Tahoe and drive north out of Montrose, Colorado for about 3 hours to visit my friends that have a cabin at the Roaring Fork Club in Basalt, Colorado. It is a tradition to take a day and head on in to Aspen to eat good food and do some shopping which only takes about 20 minutes from Basalt, all of course in the classic Aspen boho style.
Aspen is a beautiful little mountain town nestled at the base of the the famous Ajax Mountain. The shopping is amazing, but believe me, you better bring more than one credit card. It is one of ritziest shopping areas in the country that caters to the rich and famous from all over the world.
Beside shopping you can enjoy dining at many highly rated restaurants. We decided on the Chef’s Club located at the St Regis Hotel. Absolutely amazing food!!! Some other of my favorite restaurants are Cache Cache, Pinion’s, Rustique Bistro, and Kenichi, Not sure about dinner, but I had an incredibly delicious lunch at White House Tavern.
So after a couple of days, I got my Aspen fix for the summer. It is always fun eating, shopping and people watching while hanging with my good friends.
