For a quick recap: On day 2 of NYFW I headed over to the Gallery a Skylight venue on Washington Ave to attend the KARIGAM Spring/Summer 2016 fashion show. I love getting intrduced to designers that I am not familiar with.
KARIGAM has very clean lines inspired by business, travel and cityscape architecture. Very architectural!! She designs with the sophisticated, confident woman in mind using primarily blacks and whites with some monochromatic’s for dressed down fell for day. Her clothes can go from the office and then straight to a nice dinner out wearing pumps or sneakers. That depends of course if you are going Up Town to dinner or the the Meat Packing District for dinner.
KARIGAM uses mostly high quality silks and leathers in their innovative designs creating impeccable yet practical luxury fashion. Perfect for that confident,stylish, trend-conscious business woman.

After KARIGAM, I went back to my hotel where I changed clothes for an evening show by our very own Houston native Cesar Galindo. Cesar has successfully been in New York for over 20 years. In this day and age that is a milestone!!
I met Cesar last year when he did a fashion show in Fredericksburg, TX for the Texas Women for the Arts ladies. We instantly became friends. Last fall I attended his Spring/Summer 2014 presentation and I was invited to his offices where I got to purchase several pieces from his fall collection. I will say that every time I wear a CZAR piece I am constantly complimented. I am a true fan of his.

For this collection CEZAR showed us gorgeous colorful fabrics with sexy trend-conscious styling with a definitive Latin flair. I found that the Latin influence was everywhere in this seasons collections.
He covered all of the trends…. Latin…of cours, tie dye and crochet dresses 70’s flavor, floral 60’s vibe, sequin 80’s drama as well as his finally that rocked the fringe. I give this collection a big thumbs up!!
